Service Affected:-
Email.
Duration of expected customer impact:-
This will be performed in stages during the week.
Detailed description of work to be performed:-
Following positive feedback from customers on the Postini anti-spam platform and with few issues encountered during past migrations, we are now in a position to move all Force9 email addresses across to the new service.
Postini are a global leader in on-demand email, Internet and security solutions and were recently acquired by Google for $625 million. More than 35,000 businesses worldwide depend on Postini. They process over 1 billion messages a day and have been rated as the top message security vendor in independent magazine, test lab, and analyst reviews. Impressively, Postini process more messages each day than all other managed security service providers combined and boast 99.999% reliability. More details about Postini can be found here -

You will not need to make any changes to your settings and you can continue to use your email account as normal. The only change that you should notice is a visible reduction in the volume of junk email that gets delivered to your mailbox. While the changes are taking place you will continue to receive email as normal.

Expected customer impact:-
As this work involves what's known as a DNS change, it can take between 24 and 48 hours before all of your messages are being passed through the new spam filter.
